It is the goal of the City is to provide prompt and efficient access to records in accordance with the California Public Records Act.
Please visit the City’s Public Records Portal to submit your request. The City of La Puente provides access to public records, except those exempt from disclosure by law. Under the Act, the City has ten (10) days to determine whether the request seeks disclosable records in possession of the City and under certain circumstances, the time for the City to respond may be extended. In such a case, you will be notified with an estimate of the date disclosable records will be available.
When completing your request, be as specific as possible and clearly identify the record(s) being requested. Include the property address, date/date range, and type of record.

Enterprise Systems
Approved on October 11, 2015, Senate Bill 272 adds a section to the California Public Records Act requiring local agencies to create and make available online a catalog of enterprise systems. This catalog must be made public upon request and be posted in a prominent location on the local agency’s website and cities will need to update the public data annually.
