The City of La Puente needs your opinion to help improve the quality of life for people of all ages and abilities. Join us for a community listening session where your thoughts and ideas will help La Puente create a Local Aging and Disability Action Plan.

The City of La Puente has received a Local Aging and Disability Action Planning (LADAP) Grant from the California Department of Aging to plan and develop a community-wide age- and disability-friendly action plan. Our LADAP program will engage local aging and disability communities to seek their input in identifying La Puente’s age- and disability-friendly assets and areas of growth to improve our City’s livability along the Eight Domains of Livability from the World Health Organization (WHO) and AARP and the State of California’s Master Plan for Aging and the Five Goals for healthy communities for all ages and abilities.

How will La Puente’s LADAP program engage the local community?

The La Puente LADAP has created an advisory committee of community leaders in the local aging and disability services to guide and advise the community engagement and the creation of an age and disability-friendly action plan.

The LADAP program will also engage community members from the aging and disability communities, their caregivers, and families to share their opinions and insights at community listening sessions and with surveys to help make La Puente an age- and ability-friendly community.

The La Puente LADAP program will host:
