Military Banner Program
The City of La Puente Military Banner Recognition Program is designed to honor current military personnel who reside in La Puente (any patron with a La Puente address, which includes Los Angeles County unincorporated La Puente addresses). Each banner will have the name and branch of service of men and woman currently serving in the military. In order to qualify as a participant, the honoree must be a current member of the Armed Forces and a La Puente resident or an immediate family member of a La Puente resident (wife, husband, son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter).
What is the Cost of Each Banner?
The cost to display each customized banner is $130 and there is no limit as to how many banners can be displayed per service-person.
How Do I Order a Banner?
To place an order:
Complete the “Military Banner Recognition Program” forms available at all municipal facilities and online by clicking here.
Mail or deliver the order form and payment to:
La Puente City Hall, 15900 E. Main St. La Puente, CA 91744
Note: The spelling of the name will be taken directly from the order form. Lettering of the name and branch will be sized to fit the personalized area on the banner.
Where Will the Banners Be Displayed?
The military banners will be on display continuously at available locations along major street corridors in La Puente. The banners will be installed by personnel from the City, West Coast Arborists, Inc., and Republic ITS. The banners will be removed when the banner is damaged or the service-person is no longer in the military. The banner will be given to the person named on the banner or to a family member. The City will not be responsible for replacing banners that are stolen, damaged, destroyed due to sun, weather, age, vandalism or any act of nature beyond our control such as high winds. Weather permitting the military banners will go up within thirty (30) days
